Our Objectives

PAYWODI objectives are categories into Development, Social and Economic as follows:

Under development related programmes for young women the PAYWODI shall advocate for the following:

a) Recognition the right of the young women to choose, to make decisions and accept the consequences of their actions.a) Recognition the right of the young women to choose, to make decisions and accept the consequences of their actions.
b) Ensure that all Young Women are given equal opportunities and guided to reach their full potentials.
c) Foster appropriate values and positive attitudes among young women.
d) Inculcate in the African Young Women the virtues of morality, patriotism, discipline, selfless service, honesty and integrity.
e) Inculcate in the young women leadership and fellowship values and make them socially responsive, responsible and accountable.
f) Encourage the involvement young women in decision making at all levels of government in all matters affecting them.
g) Develop and implement a comprehensive programme for young women socialization so that they can become good and productive citizens.
h) Provide opportunities for young women, both in and out of school, for vocational training geared towards self-employment and self-reliance.
i) Seek and offer solutions to young women health related problems such as drug abuse and addiction, teenage pregnancy, sexually. transmitted, HIV/AIDS, cultism, examination malpractices, etc
j) Inculcate in the young women the spirit of adventure, resourcefulness and inventiveness.
k) Organize and harness the energies of the young women in the service of their neighbourhoods and communities.
l) Promote the development of individual talents and infuse the young women with a keen sense on inquiry and achievement.
m) Encourage young women to join voluntary, community oriented organization and participate actively in their programmes.
n) Facilitate interaction between African young women organizations and similar regional and international organizations.
o) Establish and sustain the operations of appropriate structures that will create opportunities for the emergence of healthy and responsible young women across Africa.
p) Advocate, provide and protect the legal, constitutional and legislative instruments as well as the framework for the implementation of the policyís programmes.

b) Personal objectives include self-esteem and self-confidence, managing personal risks, managing health and well-being, setting and achieving appropriate goals, making decisions effectively, and physical and outdoor skill development.
c) Environmental awareness and skills include knowledge and interest in local environment.

Advocate for policies and provide opportunities for the economic empowerment of Young Women to increase and accelerate their sustainable income earning and generating capacities.
